Gambian Amateurradio Licence application.

Intro :

If you have a foreign ham licence, you shouldn't have any problem obtaining Gambian licence. On various websites . I found useful information about the Gambian licence : but not correct.

Before you ask for a callsign visit my list on the bottom of this page .

There are of course several hams who have their own callsign used with the preposition C5/.. , there are not included in this list .

So what you need :

You require the Amateur Ham Radio Licence Application form ... with the following information :

• starting dates of operation .
• the place where you stay in The Gambia .
• all your equipment with serial numbers , amplifers antenna systems etc....
• a copy of your home license , a copy of your HAREC license .
• a copy of your previous Gambia amateur license .
• a copy of your passport .
• you need the offical application form if you obtian for a Gambian Call Sign !!!!!!!!!!!

So what is the cost :

• The fee in 2022 = 3500 Dalasi (about 62 Euro) for a license .
• The fee must be paid to GRA ( Gambia Revenue Authority ) in Kannifing or elswhere and to Pura .
• Before you can paid it , you need a TAX Number ( TIN-number) , the fee for a tax number is 50 Dalasis (2020 ).

You've been warned :

When you arived on the airport the customs will see your licence document and also the document with all your equipment , antennes , tx/rx,ampli etc... signed by PURA , without this document it's possible that all your equipment stay in the airport .
